Refunds and cancelling

Last updated: 11 October 2026

Who handles a refund depends on where you paid. Anything bought in the Earwig iPhone app is an App Store purchase, so Apple handles it. Plans paid by card on earwig.io, and team plans, are handled by us.

Refunds for anything bought in the iPhone app

Plans and top-ups bought in the Earwig iPhone app are paid to Apple, so only Apple can refund them. We can't issue a refund for an App Store purchase.

To ask Apple for one:

  1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple ID you paid with.
  2. Choose Request a refund and tell Apple why.
  3. Pick the Earwig purchase and submit the request.

Apple decides every request under its own terms. If you get stuck finding the purchase, email support@earwig.io and we'll help.

Cancel a plan bought in the iPhone app

  1. On your iPhone, open Settings and tap your name.
  2. Tap Subscriptions, then Earwig.
  3. Cancel the subscription.

In the Earwig app, Manage plan in Settings, under Plan & billing, opens the same Apple page. Older versions call it Manage subscription.

Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date, or Apple may charge you for the next period. If your plan started with a free period, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends and you won't be charged.

You keep your plan until the end of the period you've paid for. Minutes you bought never expire, and they stay on your Earwig account after a plan ends.

Deleting the app or your Earwig account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Cancel it first.

Plans paid by card on earwig.io

To cancel: in a web browser, sign in at earwig.io/mark, click the profile button at the top right (your photo, or a person icon), then click Manage next to your plan. That opens Stripe's billing page, where you can cancel.

For a refund: email support@earwig.io from the address you pay with, and say which payment it's about.

Deleting your Earwig account does not stop card payments. Cancel first.

Team plans

Only the team's owner can cancel a team plan. In a web browser, sign in at earwig.io/teams and click Card, invoices or cancel on the team. That opens Stripe's billing page. If your team is invoiced rather than paid by card, the owner emails support@earwig.io to cancel.

For a refund on a team plan, the owner emails support@earwig.io.

When a team plan ends, everyone on it goes back to their own plan. Their shoots, markers and any minutes they bought stay on their own accounts.
