How do I get my selects into Premiere?+
Record your interview, highlight the best moments in the transcript, grade them A/B/C, and export a Premiere Pro XML. Drop the XML and your video file into Premiere — your selects appear as clips on the timeline with word-accurate timecodes.
Does it work with my camera's footage?+
Yes. Sync your camera's timecode using the built-in scanner, then export with your camera's filename (MXF, MP4, or any format). Earwig matches the timecodes so your selects land on the right frames when you relink in Premiere.
What does it cost?+
Earwig is currently invite-only with a free trial. Pricing starts at £24/month after the trial period.
Is my audio stored?+
No. Audio is streamed for transcription only and never written to disk. Transcription is handled by Speechmatics, a UK-based provider (ICO registered). Only the text transcript is saved — encrypted with a per-user key.
Can I turn off AI?+
Yes. AI features (fact-checking, research, questions) are optional. With AI off, your transcript stays within UK infrastructure only. No data is sent to any AI provider.
What languages are supported?+
20 languages including English, French, German, Spanish, Arabic, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, and more. Set your language in Settings — it takes effect on your next recording.
