Account

Account, subscription and your data

The practical stuff: signing in, paying, retention, and leaving.

Signing in

Earwig uses passwordless email codes. Enter your email, we send a six-digit code, you are in. The same account works on iPhone, on the web, and in Earwig Sync. If a code does not arrive, check spam and confirm the email is spelled right; codes expire quickly, so request a fresh one rather than reusing an old email.

Your trial and Earwig Pro

New accounts start with a free trial with full access, no card required. When it ends, Earwig Pro is a monthly subscription billed through your Apple ID. Manage or cancel it any time in iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Restore Purchases in the app brings an existing subscription to a new device.

Footage retention

In Settings you can turn on automatic footage cleanup, which deletes stored audio and video from your sessions after 30 days while keeping the transcripts and markers. Good hygiene if your shoots are sensitive or you simply do not want media hanging around after the edit is done.

Deleting your account

Open your profile in the app and choose Delete account. You will be asked to confirm twice, because deletion is immediate and permanent: your sessions, markers, transcripts and stored media are all removed. If you have an active subscription, cancel it in iPhone Settings as well, since Apple manages the billing side.

Privacy

What we store and why is written in plain language in our privacy policy. The short version: your recordings are yours, we store what the product needs to work, and you can delete all of it yourself, instantly, in the app.
